CONSERVATION COMMISSION

The meeting convened at 6:15p.m.
No quorum existed so no business was conducted by the commission.
Susan Bachelder of Laurel Bank Lane, L Buel, was present. She wished to informally ask the commission about a change in a previously permitted project. She had submitted an RDA for drilling of a well and removal and replanting of trees on her property. She was issued a negative Determination of Applicability. Since she has acquired an adjacent piece of property, a so called right-of-way and wishes to install drainage management structures and also to remove a deck and concrete piers located on the Bank of L Buel. We suggested that since the DA is not subject to alteration once issues that she just submit another RDA for the work within our jurisdiction. We noted that from the site survey presented the location of the drainage structures appeared to be outside of the 100 foot Buffer Zone and as such are not subject to our
permitting. We supported her work to manage runoff across her property and into the lake.
The Selectboard submitted a letter asking for extension of the Order of Conditions issued for the L Garfield draw-down process. The OOC will expire on May 12, 2011. We note that if the request is acted upon at the next scheduled meeting it will be within the required time frame.
We were informed by Denise Andrus that Rick was working on a project and may not be present. She also said he had received a call from Nancy Marcus wishing to discuss some business with the commission. With no way to contact her we trust she may get on the agenda for the April meeting.
